Fundraisers: Sept. 3

Corn roast: The Bear Lake Preservation Association will host a craft fair and free corn roast Sept. 3 at Conroy’s Bear Lake Resort, N4715 State 22/110, Manawa. Craft fair is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the corn roast begins at 11 a.m. until the corn is gone. Sign up for a bean bag toss. $ 20 per couple.

Tailgate 2017: The Fox Valley Humane Association’s Tailgate 2017 will be 5:30-9 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Grand Meridian, Appleton. Enjoy entertainment, food and beverages, raffles and silent and live auctions. Bill Jartz from WBAY will be the evening’s emcee and auctioneer. Proceeds benefit the Veterinary Wellness Center. Nutman sale: ThedaCare Neenah Volunteer Auxiliary will host a Nutman sale at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah by the Java Junction Coffee Shop. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 7 and 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 8. Proceeds benefit the TCN Volunteer Auxiliary scholarship fund.

Ladies Night: Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology hosts a Ladies Night Pop Up Boutique 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 7 at 3925. N. Gateway Drive, Appleton. More than 20 booths for your shopping experience. Refreshments, silent auctions and door prizes. Fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. 

Seafood Fest: Rotary’s Seafood Fest will be 4-10:30 p.m. Sept. 8-9 at Jefferson Park, Menasha. Purchase lobster or salmon dinner in advance and save $ 5. Tickets available online at www.seafoodfest.us. Live music both days.

Car show: American Legion Post 33 Neenah and Auxiliary Post 33 will host an end-of-summer Antique Collector and Classic Car show Sept. 9 at Lucky Dogz Labor Temple, 157 S. Green Bay Road, Neenah. Youth hunt: The Fox River Valley chapter of Pheasants Forever will hold its annual Youth Hunt Sept. 9 at Oak Hill Hunt Club in Eldorado. Two sessions, one beginning at 7:30 a.m. and one at 10:30 a.m. $ 10 per person and includes the trap shooting, live hunt, ammunition and lunch. Each participant should bring a shotgun and blaze orange (hat and vest). Participants need to be 12 to 18 years old and have passed a hunter’s safety course. Registration deadline is Sept. 4. Golf outing. The inaugural Jeff Hemauer Memorial Golf Outing will be Sept. 9 at Brown County Golf Course, Oneida. Four-person scramble, noon check-in with 1 p.m. shotgun start. $ 100 per player includes 18 holds of golf with cart and on-course events. Dinner to follow with prizes and raffles. Walk for Thought: The Brain Injury Alliance of Wisconsin will host the 14th annual Walk for Thought and Picnic at 10 a.m. Sept. 9 at Telulah Park in Appleton. Patriots Day dinner: VFW Nicolet Post 2126 Menasha will host the 10th annual Isle of Valor and Patriots Day dinner Sept. 12 at the Stone Toad Bar & Grill on Oneida St. in Menasha. Cocktails at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. Tickets are $ 20 and must be purchased by Sept. 3 by calling Dave at 920-851-2306.

Cut-a-thon: Mosaic Salon, W7003 Parkview Drive, Suite B, Greenville, will host a Have a Heart cut-a-thon 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 16. Haircuts are $ 15. All proceeds benefit children with hair loss. Call 920-757-9020.

Not just another show: St. Mary Catholic Church will host its “Not Just Another Car Show!, Truck Show!, Motorcycle Show!, Tractor Show!” 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 17 on the grounds of St. Mary’s, State 45, Marion. Registration is 8 a.m. to noon with the trophy ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Car show entry is $ 5. Spectator entry and parking are free. Food will be served all day, along with a bake sale, 50/50 and bucket raffles and silent auction. Connect 5 Run/Walk: Connect 5, a non-competitive run/walk to raise money for the St. Mary Catholic Schools Booster Club and fine arts programs, will be Sept. 30. It will begin and finish on the campus of St. Mary Catholic Middle and High Schools, 1050 Zephyr Drive, Fox Crossing. On-site registration and check in will be 8:15-9:15 a.m., and the run/walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. The entry fee is $ 15 per student, $ 25 for adults and $ 60 for immediate-member families. Participants are encouraged to register online  at smcatholicschools.org. Entertainment will be provided after the event, along with cash concessions from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
