Hot rods wanted for the Collierville Police Classic Car and Bike Show

The Collierville Police Department is accepting entries for 2017 Classic Car Show sponsored by Landers Ford taking place September 16 from 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. in the parking lot of Central Church at 2005 Winchester Rd.

Cash prizes will be awarded, and all proceeds benefit the Collierville Education Foundation. The family friendly event is free for spectators.

“The Collierville Classic Car Show is a highly anticipated annual event that attracts car lovers from across the country, making it a stellar show,” said Lieutenant David Townsend of the Collierville Police Department. “It’s a great opportunity to showcase your vehicle and to see some of the nation’s most iconic cars.”

Since 2009, the Collierville Police Department has hosted the Classic Car Show as a community event and fundraiser benefiting CEF. Last year, the car show raised more than $ 30,000. The event is free and open to the public and features food and drink vendors in addition to the cars on display.

“We’re thankful for the continued support of the Collierville Police Department and Landers Ford,” said Chuck Lesnick, president of the CEF board of trustees. “The Classic Car Show is one of our largest annual fundraisers, and all proceeds from the event are poured back into Collierville Schools through teacher grants.”

The entry fee is $ 25 per car. Entrants are automatically eligible to receive one of up to 70 random cash drawings of $ 100, as well as one $ 500 cash drawing, based on 400 vehicle registrations. Registration can be done online by visiting colliervillecarshow.com/register or on-site during the event on September 16 between 7:30 a.m. and noon.
