You can eat barbecue and listen to blues music in a woodsy, outdoor setting Saturday at McCormick’s Creek State Park near Spencer.
The park will host its ninth annual BBQ and Blues Festival from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. outside the nature center.
Food vending will be provided by Smokin’ Jack’s Rib Shack and Wink’s BBQ. Canyon Inn will cater a beer and wine garden.
Music will begin at 11 a.m. and will feature John Ford, King Bee and the Stingers, The Jack Whittle Band and The Chris Canas Band.
A classic car show will take place throughout the day.
Activities are free after paying the standard entrance fee of $ 7 per in-state vehicle or $ 9 per out-of-state vehicle.
