CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (9/1/17) — Few can remember such a cool, wet start to Labor Day weekend festivities in Central City during the annual Everly Brothers Labor Day Rock N Roll Cruise In. Typically, it’s windows down with balmy temperatures as classic cars cruise the “Strip”.
However, remnants from Hurricane Harvey passing through the state have brought a steady rain and a midday temperature in the 60-degree range for Sept. 1 in Muhlenberg County.
Yet, all is not lost. Friday’s activities are being moved to Saturday.
The classic car show begins at 8 a.m. Saturday and continues to 1 p.m. in downtown Central City. Judging begins at 11 a.m.
Registration for a poker run begins at 11 a.m. with kickstands up at 10:30 with a bike show following the run.
The Cruise In begins at 5 p.m. Saturday with a concert starting at 6:30 p.m. with Kelsey Hart and Now and Foreverly at 8 p.m.
